Hi!
I badly need help! I was on visit visa and applied for extension. I got refusal letter dated Nov. 9, 2012 saying that because I'm on short courses that lasts for more than 6 months I should have applied for student visa that's why they refused my extension. Now my situation changed and I'm not gonna study these courses or anything, I just want to continue touring Canada for the next 4-5 months or so. I talked to immigration call center 5 times and also in the immigration office at Canada Place saying I have until Feb. 7, 2013 to restore the status. That's clear.
But I just got a ob offer and an LMO as a skilled worker and everything is ready for a lodging of a work permit. Now I don't know what to do. I hired a lawyer for the application of work permit because I'm afraid I might get denied again. But for the restoration I'd like to do it online to save money as I don't want to pay any immigration lawyer for this. The thing is, the call center representative that I talked to said that both of this application should just be in one folder and to be submitted together. But my lawyer said my work permit will be applied outside Canada and then the restoration inside Canada. Now I'm also confused on how the immigration officers will get hold of both files if they will not be sent together since the work permit will be done by the lawyer and restoration with me. And, is that possible? Will they grant me the work permit despite the fact that I am out of status ason that I am also applying for a work permit? Please help! I'd be glad to read any sound opinion and advise. Thanks.
