Visit Visa Required

Hello,

I am trying to find the answer to the following question before I make a trip to the Canadian Embassy in Thailand.

My wife and I are planning a trip to Canada this year to visit my family. She has a Thai passport and a valid UK residency permit in her passport. Does she require a visit visa?

I am not sure as I know UK passport holders do not need a visit visa for Canada.

As she is still a citizen of Thailand and holding a Thai passport, she will still need a visa.
