Visit Visa or Spousal Open Work Permit

Hi; My son will be getting married in end of December 2023. What is the best option to have his wife with him to be in Canada? He is currently on work permit (PGWP to be precise). Is it better for to get her on Visit visa to Canada and then apply for spousal work permit or apply for her spousal open work permit in the first go. Also after how long shall we apply for this spousal work permit? shall we apply immediately after the marriage? what is the process ?

SOWP. She isn’t coming to visit. Apply once married. Google - apply SOWP and follow the link. Son will have to provide proof of skilled employment with job letter and pay stubs. Assume his permit is valid for the next year.

October 2023? So in just a couple of months. You need to apply 6 months prior to expiration because of processing times.
