Visit Visa - Looking for solutions

Hello,

We completed the TRV application online on behalf of my wife's parents to help them come visit us in Canada. They are currently in Pakistan.

Unfortunately the application was rejected with two reasons provided:

i) purpose of visit
ii) financial assets

Unsure what can specifically be done to overcome that. For the purpose, we mentioned that we wanted the parents to come to Canada to spend time with us since our jobs do not allow us a lot of time to go back frequently.

Provided our bank statements for 4 months as we noted that we will be managing their expenses during their visit here.

I understand a little bit about the need to provide their finances as well, but not sure how we can tweak the purpose to make it clearer that their intention is to visit only and not stay here forever.

Would be happy to receive some advice, even if it is a consultant that has experience in TRV applications.

Purpose of visit refusal reasons generally means that they showed insufficiently strong ties to their home country and IRCC has concerns they may have plans to remain in Canada long term.

- Did they show proof of employment and/or business ownership?
- Do they own property and did they show evidence of this?
- How much did they show in the way of personal funds / savings?
- Do they have previous travel to countries requiring visas such as the US and UK?
- Any other ties?
