Hi, my family are Canadian citizens and are looking to make an invitation letter for my uncle (dad's brother) and his daughter to attend my wedding in Canada. My parents and I currently live in the same house. My dad is a university professor while I work as an engineer at Ford; both of us earn a good salary. My question is that out of me and my dad who should make the invitation letter:

1. Should it be a letter from my dad inviting his brother and niece to his son's wedding?
2. Should it be a letter from me inviting my uncle and cousin to my wedding?
3. Should the letter mention both me and my dad and put it from the perspective that we are both inviting them and mention both of our status/finances.

I'm a little confused which option to go with since on one hand my uncle has a more direct relation with my dad (his brother), but on the other hand the invitation is for my wedding. Also for what its worth, my salary is ~25k higher so that's another reason for atleast including me in the letter.

Which of the three options would you advise?

It's your wedding, not your father's, so I would have you write it.

Here's IRCC's website for what they expect to see in invitation letters: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/letter-invitation.html
Thanks for the response, that's what I was thinking. What do you think about option 3 in my original post, where me and my father are both mentioned as inviting since my father owns property here and my uncle will be staying at his house. I've seen sample invitations where a husband and wife are inviting someone, so something similar. Does doing it that way have a chance of causing a negative impact in any way?

It won't cause a negative impact, in my opinion.
Awesome, thanks. Another question- would you recomend attaching any documents for proof of my employment and salary. My uncle is applying for a one time visit visa.
Are there any other documents you'd recomend attaching (house ownership?)

The thing your uncle will need to document is (1) ability of his own to pay for his trip - your invitation letter and offer of funds will help, but he must have some money of his own and (2) proof of reasons why he would return home, obligations he cannot miss, etc.

Yup he'll be documenting that. However from my end, should I attach proof of my salary/employment to the invitation letter?

I don't believe this information is in IRCC's list of things that need to be in an invitation letter: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/letter-invitation.html

However, if your uncle's bank balance and income do not prove sufficient to pay for the expenses of his trip, you may need to show that your income and balance will support him.
Hey another quick question. My uncle and his daughter are planning to come for sure if they get the Visa. However his wife and other 2 kids might not be able to make it due to the timing. Is it better for him to still apply for his whole family or just him and his daughter. Will his case be stronger if it's just him and his daughter applying and hes leaving family back home? Or does that not matter ?
