Hello All,
I am a Canadian Citizen and I got married in August 2013. My marriage took place in Pakistan and my husband is a Citizen of Pakistan. I applied for Spousal Sponsorship in Early November and my file was received by CIC on Nov 7th, 2013. My husband would like to visit me here in Canada temporarily for the time being as the spousal sponsorship takes quite a bit of time (31 months on average according to the CIC website). Can someone please guide me as to when we (I or he?) are eligible to apply for a visit visa and how to go about it. Do we use the Generic application for Visit Visa on the CIC website in this case? And also, please advise on what makes the case strong.
Notes:
- I am a University Student with < $15,000/annual income
- My husband is well settled in Pakistan (Working in his profession, has permanent house)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance
