Hi everyone,
I am permanent resident in Canada. My wife is four month twin pregnant and we really need someone from my family to come visit us from Pakistan to help me and my wife. My wife is a canadian citizen and her family lives in Toronto. I have a Dr note that suggest someone should take care of my wife because Twin pregnancy is considered as HIGH RISK. I got this letter to attach with my visit visa application. Can someone guide me what other documents I should attach with my parents visa application. I want my mother and father to come visit me. Can someone tell what are the chances of getting visa? I applied for my mother's visit visa 2 years ago and it got rejected due insufficient travel history and no strong ties with Pakistan. Three years ago (2011) my father visited me on visit visa. Reason of his visit was to attend my university convocation. Will his travel history help my mother's visit visa if I apply for their visa together? As a Pakistani women, my mother does not have any property in her name or any strong bank statement. Will that effect the application? If I have to show my bank statement or proof of fund, how much it should be? My father would be bearing all the expenses of his/her visit. He can easily show 20-25k CDN in his account.
My youngest brother is 21 years old. can I apply for his visit visa alongwith my parents? Should I apply online or paper application. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

This is too risky. If your doctor says that the pregnancy is high risk then you need a professional to take care of her. Is your mother a professional? If yes then she is coming to WORK (even if you are not paying her), and the TRV will be refused. If she isn't it doesn't make too much sense to bring someone for "helping" if they are not actually prepared to help.

It also doesn't make too much sense that it is your mother who wants to come and not her mother, so something else to explain to CIC. Usually during pregnancy it is expected that the parents come, most commonly the mother's mother.

For al the other questions, it might help or it may not. Really no way to tell what the CIC officer will think of your case.

Be careful with the ways the documentation you submit can be read. You might want the officer to understand something but actually be submitting documentation that will work against your case.

Jalex,

Thank you for your reply!
My wife's mother can only come for some time and she is actually visiting us now a days. Difference between my mom and her mom is, her mom has kids which are under eighteen and still dependent on as she has to take care of them. While my mother can come because her youngest son is 21. You are right it really depends on VO.
Once again thanks for your advice.

Hello
Same here, we are disappointed. We submitted for a super visa and they rejected. The reasons doesn't make sense as they say. She doesn't have travel history, my mom has been in Spain, USA, Chile, Mexico, Colombia. Also, they said that she doesn't have enough assets/salary/ income. We didn't provide any of those because we thought my salary and my husband was the only thing they will considered as this is a super visa. And our family income is over 130k yearly.
And finally they said that her ties in Canada and her country. We know all 3 children we live in Canada. But isn't that the point of the super visa ? To come a visit for a few months your family?
We are sad and disappointed of this re

We are sad and disappointed of this re
Did you include specific proof of her travel history to the US? (The US travel is the only travel CIC will care about since it would have required a visa.)

Super visa applicants do need to show their own financials. This demonstrates ties and also satisfies CIC they will be able to support themselves while they are here.

The ties refusal reason makes sense if she has three children living in Canada. Effectively this refusal reason means her ties to Canada appear stronger than her ties to her home country since she has three children here. If / when she reapplies, she should try to demonstrate stronger ties to her home country (e.g. employment, property ownership, etc.).
