visit visa for fiance

Hi

I am temporary resident in Canada with PGWP, I would like to invite my fiance for Christmas/New year(2-3 weeks).
I have few questions and have been looking for answers for the same.

Is it ok for him to visit me in terms of my status?
How much funds would be ideal to show as a host?

Most importantly we are planning to get married here during his visit so that we can put our EE profile together. That being said,
I did visit India recently but could not do the wedding then cos of unexpected situations. So now can we give the ''marriage''
reason for the visit?

The reason is not compelling at all. After marriage your spouse will not go back that would be their first assumption.
