Hi,
I have applied for visit visa of my parents more than 6 months ago at High Commission of Canada, Islamabad Pakistan. I applied on 23 Dec 2014 and it was posted to Embassy on 24 Dec 2014 via Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC) . Now as of today, it has been almost 7 months+. Still I haven't heard back from the Canadian high commission. I have written emails twice to get the status, and the reply I get is that "Your Passport is in Processing" with a File #.
Any idea why they are taking so long and what can be done further. The maximum processing time for visit visa is 72 days and now it has been more than 200 days.
I also went to MPA in Canada, to check on my behalf that why it is taking so long. He also forwarded me the same response from high commission of Canada, Pakistan that it is under processing.
What more can be done ? .... My father is in his 70's and mother is in 60's. They both are working and also have sufficient funds for travel which have been attached. I have also attached invitation letter + T4 + Notice of Assessment which are pretty good.
Appreciate any guidance on what more can be done ?. As it has been more than 7 months now.
Regards,
NL
