Hello. I am a live in caregiver who arrived in Canada in February 2014. I will be 17 months old in Canada by July 2015. I am planning to take a vacation to the Philippines this coming November 2015. Can anyone give me details on on how to go about getting a re-entry visa (TRV) since my visa will expire the following month of December 2015. Is it okay to start my application for my re-entry visa next month (July 2015) already?
Also my work permit will expire on February 2016. Do I need to renew it as well if I return to Canada in December 2015? Or is it still good to go since I would have been here already 2 months before it expires.
Another thing, I would be 23 months working as a live in caregiver in December 2015 and I intend to file for my open work permit and permanent resident applications after I get back from my vacation from the Philippines (December 2015). Should I still need to renew my work permit considering that it will not expire yet in February 2016. Will greatly appreciate your thoughts/advice regarding my personal concerns.
