Hello.I am a live in caregiver who arrived in Canada in February 2014. I am hoping for anyone who could give me advice regarding my planned vacation to the Philippines this coming November 2015. I will be 21 months in Canada by then. Can anyone give me details on on how to go about renewing/extending my visa since my visa will expire the following month of December 2015. Is it okay to start my application for my visa next month (July 2015) already?
Also my work permit will expire on February 2016. Do I need to renew it as well if I return to Canada in December 2015? Or is it still good to go since I would have been here already 2 months before it expires.
Another thing, I would be 23 months working as a live in caregiver in December 2015 and I intend to file for my open work permit and permanent resident applications after I get back from my vacation from the Philippines (December 2015). Should I still need to renew my work permit considering that it will not expire yet in February 2016. Will greatly appreciate your thoughts/advice regarding my personal concerns.
