Visit Family in US While Waiting For PR Application?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if it would be possible for me to visit my family in the US while waiting for my Permanent Residency application to go through?

I still have a valid passport and all of my documents, will they allow me back into the country? Thanks!

Nobody here can say with any certainty.

For a US citizen, odds are you would be ok returning to Canada and many people have done this. Usually CBSA is pretty lenient on people with PR apps already in progress. However if you encounter a particular CBSA officer who happens to find some reason to deny you entry, then your inland PR app would be cancelled and you would need to start again with an outland app.

So just be aware of the risk, no matter how small it may be.
