hi rosey, yes i emailed them this morning but it says it can take them up to 28 days to reply... i was reading some other posts and saw that some people are still waiting at 12 weeks, my employer wanted me to start on july 15th. did you say applied online or in person? my applications runs out on the 9th august, so getting slightly worried as i can't contact anyone over the phone.. doesnt seem to be any numbers to call for help?!

hey there, unfortunately, I don't know of any numbers you can call either...I applied in person.
What do you mean your application runs out on 9th August?

I thought you applied online on 11th June 2013, so I think your 10 weeks will be up on 20th August 2013
What type of work permit have you applied for? Open work permit with LMO?

i applied for a temporary work permit, as i already have a secured job offer with a hotel in british columbia, kelowna. I asked my employer if i need an LMO but he stated that i didn't as he applied for a working holiday visa which requires only a job offer.

Oh ok...not really sure what to suggest...hopefully they will reply to your email soon...

Is your employer understanding of your situation? Maybe update him re the strike and the impact it is having on visa applications in London.
