VISA VALID UPTO 2015:GOING HOME FOR 2 MONTHS

Hi all,

I have a friend whose student visa is valid upto 2015,She took 1 yr health care program and graduated,she is going home for about 2 months,Could she have any problems coming back?She asked me that and i coudnt answer since i wasnt sure and rules change every now and then.

What is her status now on SP or PGWP ... I think it should not be a problem...

How can 1 year program student visa get valid upto 2015? I think it is her post graduate work permit. If so she can go home and come back any time before the validity expires.

Hi Ajith,

Its not always that student visa is valid for 1 year only. Even i am going for 1 year course and my student visa is valid till 2016.

It is a new information for me. How can you get that? I guess normally it must be valid only for the period of study.

Yes you are right...but i don't know why they gave me visa till 2016..may be they liked my file

Thanks guys for all your input.May be i didnt put it well across.She has a student visa valid for 4 yrs because she came for a bachelors program for 4 yrs but changed to health care.She just completed her 1 yr healthcare program and was planning on going home for sometime and then coming back after 2 months,her student visa is still valid until 2015.
