i have received the tracking ID for the Application Submitted:
Its says Visa Type: PVT -what does this mean ??

Was it submitted in French? If yes it means Programme Vacances Travail. In Englishh its WHV ( Work Holiday Visa)

Nope i applied the application in English only! It was an application for Visitor Visa

There is no such thing as "tracking ids" for a TRV application. Where did you get that number/name? What is the correct term employed?

On the Canada Visa Application Centre website you can track application from the tracking id

csc-cvac.com/en-US/selfservice/status

I thought as much.

VACs are not Canada Immigration, they are third parties that manage Visa applications.

So for this you will have to ask the VAC directly about their acronyms as each VAC has different rules and conventions.

Rest assure there is no such thing as a "Visa type PVT".
