Hello all,
I am planning to apply for some universities and colleges. I have heard that the visa success rate is very low for Nepalese who are applying for colleges. I am planning to apply to the University of Saskatchewan and also to Cambrian College. The specific course I wanna pursue matches exactly with the one at Cambrian college. But since the visa rate is very low when applying for colleges, I am in a dilemma.

@Nepalese students: About the visa rate, is that a hoax spread by a consultancy or is it a truth?

I am open to suggestions. Help is much appreciated.

Thank You

Maybe share a bit more information about your profile so forum readers can give some feedback given it is the strength of your profile that is important not just where you come from.

So English language ability, current qualifications, work experience, planned course and how attending college in Canada will improve your prospects on return to your home country. Assume you have the finances to support an application as an international student given that should not be under estimated, approx 15-18000 CDN fees and 10000 Cdn living per year.

Consultants tend to exaggerate things usually to their own agenda.

Depending on your actual grade and the competition for admission to that specific program you may have difficulty getting into the masters in CS. Studying for a masters degree usually is more convincing that you are an actual student. Your available funds may be a bit too low in my opinion.

Those are not strong marks or ielts score for Canadian MBA program at a public school. You applied for a private university. You should check whether you can get pgwp after this degree. If you want to go through the trouble and expense of an MBA program I would look at public universities. This degree will not be viewed favourably by many Canadian employers.

To Whom it may concern,
My visa application was rejected last year. I am Congolese but I live in South for study purposes. I have a bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering and I was accepted into a DESS program in Industrial engineering at Laval University which is a postgraduate one year program. The immigration officer said that I do not have strong ties to return to my home country after my studies and I have no enough fund to study in Canada without working but my sponsor's bank statement had approximately $40000 while my fees were $15000.Can you please advise what to do as I'm willing to make a new application.
