Visa stamping: New York or Buffalo??

Hi,
I received the final approval letter stating that i should mail/bring the passport over to New York ( bring on Thurs, take back next Thursday) or mail it in ( 15 days processing). There is no mention of CIC, Buffalo. I am in the middle of travel within and outside US, and i need the passport urgently.

Is it possible to go to Buffalo and get it stamped in person in a day's time? Any restriction on date/days? Can anyone validate this information ( previously posted in one of the threads here)?

I assume your application was transfered to New York during the process. You can't go to Bufallo for your Visa stamping, you have to go to New York as stated in the letter you received, or send it by mail.

Confirm this with the consulate, many people here in the forum said that they picked up their passports same or the next day. The letter they sent is one format letter and there may be different rules if you go in person and want it immediately.

It is strange, can he stamp in New York office? A guy just got the answer recently that he cannot get the visa stamping in person. Must by mail. So the rule changes?
