Visa running out!

Hi every one,

I have an issue which I will be grateful if you can give me your views. 8 mths ago I send my Quebec application at the london office, I have received 1 letter from them since then to show proof of my residency in the UK. My problem is this: My visa is fast expiring (less than 4 mnths) and They have neither requested my police certificate nor my medical exams. What is going to happen if my UK visa runs out and my file is not completed. Thanks for your replies as they mean alot to me.

I only know from the forum what happens when FSW application hasn't completed yet and a person leaves the country. In this case, the visa continues to be processed and if they need to interview the applicant, then the applicant needs to get another visa to go back to the UK to go for the interview.

However, there used to be a process for changing visa offices but yesterday I read on this forum that they are not doing that for the new FSW applicants.

I don't know how CSQ differs from FSW in these regards.

Another option that you have, is to transfer your application to the visa office responsible on your country of nationality. have a look at this example it is similar to your situation but in other country :

I submitted my application for permanent residence (immigration) to another Canadian visa office. I will now be studying or working in one of countries for which your office is responsible. Can my file be transferred to Damascus?

You should contact the visa office where your application was submitted. The officer responsible for your file will determine if a file transfer would enhance the integrity of the immigration program and if the file can be transferred to our office.

To help the officer in that decision, you should clearly state the reasons for the file transfer, indicate how long you will be residing in one of the countries for which Damascus is responsible (Cyprus, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria) and include documents showing your status there

therefore, if you have an urgent reason to transfer your application to another visa office just write a letter for them explaining the reasons as soon as possible

Thanks very much for your replies guy's. I haven't been connected recently and apologise for the the late response. Your comments are useful and I really appreciate them. I wish the was someone applying for a Quebec PR going through a similar experience at the london office. Many thanks
