My wife had applied for a Canada visa along with me in the month of Feb 2011. I was granted a VISA but she was asked to do some further medical test. We then went to the DMP and he said that my wife had to wait for couple of months before she could re-apply and that is the normal wait time if they suspect that you have TB.
She had no symptoms nor any of the additional tests proved that she was carrying TB. All the reports were normal.
Then after 7 months of wait period and some medicine which the doctor gave us as a procedure, she was finally granted a go ahead letter from the DMP and the VISA was issued in the month of October 2011.
Now we have to apply for the visa extension since the visa expires next month. (FYI – Our work permit has just been renewed till Feb 2013)
Now : In the background information section of the visa application form IMM5257 E on page 3 of 5, there is a question 1a which asks if you or any of your family member had TB in the past 2 years – Yes, NO. If yes, then please provide details.
Question:
What should we be writing here? Yes or NO?
I think we should write NO because she never had TB and she was only a suspect and tests proved that she did not had TB.
If yes then what could be the impact of our visa renewal?
