Hi, I recently applied to Canada for an exchange program. Which meant I was going to Canada for short-term studies. I am from India and recently got rejected for the same. The rejection letter stated that I was rejected on the basis of i.e. purpose of travel. What more documents can I or should I attach to convince that I have no intention of staying in Canada and will be coming back?
Also, does the rejection affect the re-application?

The return ticket was attached. Apart from that, I am a 20year old student. So I don't have any property

Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your temporary resident
visa application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not
meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration
and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following
grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.

This is what the letter states

I did not submit a cover letter and a letter from my home university at the time applying. I am currently working on both of them and stating why I exactly I need to go to Canada and the letter from my home university will state that coming back to my home country is mandatory if I need to finish my education

Okay so that letter from your school would actually be good then, get a letter from your school that shows when you graduate so if its a future date then that is good, are you in any clubs at school, ae you a leader, do you have a job back home full time.

Here are some general categories that should help:

- Ownership of real property (real estate) and/or highly valuable tangible property
- Ownership of a business/investment/etc.
- Relationships to people (e.g.: family, spouse, children, community, etc.)
- Responsibilities (e.g.: professional job, student, caring for parents/children, community leader, etc.)
- Miscellaneous (this would vary from person to person)

if you own nothing show that you have strong family tie,

  • Provide proof you will leave Canada at the end of the approved stay
  • Provide proof you have the financial means to maintain your family or self, and return home

There is no mandatory waiting period for re-application – unless otherwise noted, you may apply again for a visa at any time after your first rejection. However, sending the same application a second time without additional information is likely to result in rejection for the same reasons as the first.

Yes. So, I graduate a semester after I come back to India so the letter would state that I have to study for another 4months back home. I don't have any job currently as I am a full-time student. I am in various clubs at my school.

Apart from my return ticket. I provided them with 5months of bank statement and also a lease agreement of 4months for my accommodation.

What exactly should I mention in the cover letter to convince them that I have no intention of staying in Canada apart from my approved stay?
