Hi all,
Recently my visa was rejected for the following reason. I have applied for MBA in business administration and also got a scholarship of $5000

Purpose of visit
Proposed course is not reasonable in light of past and present studies

My profile is
10th - 57%
12th - 67%
Graduation- 58%
P.g in business administration - 60%
P.g done from distance learning and after graduation I have 5 years of experience first in a hospital for 4 years and then in a manufacturing company for 1 year
While I was working in a hospital I did
P.g in hospital management which is 1 year course sponsored by the hospital

Now I have applied for MBA in business administration. They rejected my application for this reason only.

Can anybody suggest what to do. And where I am lacking behind?

Regards
Simran

Sorry to hear that, but you seem to have already done your post graduation in business administration which is starkly similar to an MBA. The officer would naturally doubt your intention to study as there is no career progression. A better course selection, probably, could only have been doctoral (Phd) studies as you already have a post graduation degree.

Did you explained this thing in your SOP? I have never heard the thing -> "objective type pg". A PG is either coursework or by research.

AFAIK a PG degree irrespective of its type is at a level higher than Bachelors and so it's equivalent to the course that you want to pursue.

Ok. So you did PG degree by coursework and the exam format was objective type. Good Luck.

So i done this stream without maths. i applied to Canada in Centennial College and i got a course name ( Computer repair and maintenance ) . after that I applied for this course but yesterday i got news that my visa Got refused and the reason is...

Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of the following : your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, other educational opportunities available in India (the country of the applicant) or Canada, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.

my profile is

10th 57%
12th 77%
Ielts score = 6
listening 7 and others 5.5 all

So guys can u help me out . i dont know what should i do know . is my course choice is right or what is the real problem for visa refusal ..please rplyy soon.. thank you

I am sorry for you loss, But again! Although the details are a bit sketchy, the reason is still obvious. You studied electronics in your 12 grade and now wish to pursue an undergraduate program in computers.. Its not at all related. Instead you would have stood a better chance choosing something to do with chip designing or telecommunications. Morever, a single 5.5 band in IELTS is enough for rejection and you have 3 such bands.

Can you Please stop sending me PM. I have got a second one from you since this morning. You already have a thread running where members have answered you to the best of their knowledge.

I have put this thing clearly in my signature also. I like other members reply here voluntarily and on the subject that we know very well of or have
experience of it. So Please don't be pushy.

Good Luck.

I guess this is an undergrad diploma. If so, you need a strong justification to move to an undergrad course after Master's. Chances of visa approval as I know from this forum and other sources are very slim in this scenario. Good Luck.
