Hi,

Please advice me. I am an Indian Citizen. I came to Canada on a Student Visa and studied for 2 years and now having a valid 2 and half year work permit and currently working at IBM full time. I tried to take my wife on a temporary resident visa and the visa officer rejected it saying they need proof that she will go back and so and so. Am i not eligible to take my wife here. Please advice me what is the right way to do it. I want to bring her here because we could only live together for 4 days after marriage. Please Advice me with this.

You should post your question to the Foreing Workers section of this forum:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/foreign-workers-b10.0/

This section of the forum is for Canadians who are sponsoring their family members.

To answer your question, you are eligible to apply to bring your wife here. However as you've seen, there is no guarantee she will be approved. To be approved, she must demonstrate that she has no plans to remain in Canada long term and has strong ties to India. Again, I would recommend you post to the Foreign Workers section of this forum to obtain advice from others in similar situations.
