Visa Rejected under General

Hey guys my visa was refused on 27th Nov. I had applied on 15th Novunder General category. The reason for refusal stated, "Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of the following : your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, other educational opportunities available in India or Canada, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans."

My profile-

10th - 73%
12th - 64%
BE(IT) - 52% (57% final year) - 16 backlogs
Course - Information Security Management from Fanshawe college (1yr PG)
IELTS - 8 (L-9, R-8, W-7, S-7)
Fees - Full 1 yr
GIC - done

I wrote an SOP explaining that I had 10 backlogs in the first year and those subjects were not related to IT at all. I also submitted all the required documents i.e. My father's ITR, payslip, property, etc. I suspect it to be a case of course mismatch. But I explained the reason for opting this course and how it's completely relevant to IT field. I don't really understand the reason for refusal. Any suggestions?

Thanks mate. I will file for CAIPS tomorrow. I just hope the actual refusal reason is not the backlogs. If that's the case, I can't really reapply. :-[

But I scored first class in the final Semester. And my aggregate is above 50%. I understand that my grades are poor but that is why I opted for a PG course. Since I'm not eligible for masters.

No need for overthinking pal. Apply and wait for CAIPS. Meanwhile arrange an alternative for yourself as the process is time consuming.

Yeah you're right. I was actually pissed off at the refusal. After 3 months of preparation, the refusal was heartbreaking. But I guess that's the way it is. Thanks mate.

I asked my consultant today and he said I have to fill a form and pay 3k rupees. It's a fairly simple procedure.

CAIPS/GCMS just describe your refusal reason in detail so you can correct your rejection point in the next application. You can ask for CAIPS. But there is nothing like they will reconsider your application or you will get visa bro. You have to reapply for next intake under general. And yeah it will take 1 month (average). If you have relative or friends who can pay 5$ for you in canada then it will be done by only 5$. Outside canada it will cost you 40 to 120$.
