Visa refused. Passport request. Islamabad.

I applied for a study permit on 1st February. Paper based. In islamabad.
My application was refused on 12th February since I got an email to check my CIC account and there was this correspondence letter which stated that my application has been refused since I'm not a bonafide student.
Today is February 28th, the application status in my CIC account still says UNAVAILABLE and my passport is nowhere to be returned.

How do I get my passport back? Because if I leave it to the Canadians they might even keep it with themselves for an year and not bother sending it back.

Any help will highly be appreciated.

You should go to the VAC (Visa application center) where you have submitted your paper application and gave your biometrics, they will guide you the best and give you the possible options for how you can get your passport back. As you have applied paper based, CIC will send the application/passport back to the VAC for collection where you have submitted it in first place.
