hi Everyone
I came to canada as a student. I applied for my parents to visit me in October 2016 on my graduation. The visa got refused with the following reasons :
Reason for travel to canada
Person's contacts in canada
Person ties to his or her country of residence
Ability to pay for himself and to support
Whether person is inadmissible to canada
Person would likely to leave canada after stay

Now i am on open work permit and thinking to apply it again.
The purpose i want to state is that i want to celebrate my birthday with them and i haven't met them since so long .

Please advice what should i do ?

Thank you

Hi,

1. Were all these boxes checked in the refusal letter?

2. Your parents must address these refusal reasons with stronger evidence and/or a significant change in their circumstances

3. Visiting to celebrate a birthday is a weak purpose of visit. It's better for them to visit to see how you now live and work + for sightseeing + to meet relatives/friends

Cheers

Thank you
I will double check if all the reasons were checked or not .
Since its been only 7-8 months from refusal.
Is it the right time to apply again ?

There's no time restriction to when someone can reapply. It could even be the next day after getting a refusal BUT s/he must prove that the reasons for refusal no longer exist

Okay.
I just checked the refusal letter. The only box checked is other reasons stating economic condition, travel history, Employment.

Can you please explain what is need to done to eliminate these reasons?

You'll need to post:
1. The list of documents which your parents had submitted

2. Some info about their personal and professional situation (are they employed or manage a business or self-employed?)

3. How long did they intend to visit?

I take it that this is their first visit abroad or at least to a country that requires visas (like the US, UK, Schengen). They were refused for lack of Travel History as they do not have a history of returning to their home country after visits abroad. You cannot change their travel history now. So, your workaround this is to prove they have a number of solid reasons to return home

1. Their documents were
Passport
Proof of residency
House evaluation
Property papers/fixed deposits
Bank statements

The other documents given by me
My birth certificate
Passport
Study permit
Employment letter
Invitation letter
Bank statements

2. My mother is a housewife and my father is a farmer . Nothing specific in employment

3. The stay period can be 1 -2 months.

I suspect with no travel history and applying for 1-2 months, you should expect another refusal for your parents TRV. Others can confirm my previous comment, but I would strongly suggest 2, maybe 3 weeks maximum.

As stated earlier, you can apply anytime.

Think of it this way: If the documents they had submitted were correct (and adequate), they would have been issued TRVs for their previous applications.

You'll have to provide more information so that we can advise:
1. Does your dad earn an income from the farming activities or is he exempt from paying taxes?

2. Does he hire farm workers? Can he provide evidence of this, if so?

3. Do your parents live with other dependent family members? For example, your siblings or grandparents?

4. Is the house owned by your mom too?

5. How much funds can they show for their intended visit (earned by your dad and without borrowing)?

6. Are the fixed deposits locked-in i.e. interest will be paid on maturity or is the interest credited to your parents' bank accounts on a regular basis?

7. Can your dad prove he must return home by a specific date after his September visit?

1.yes he earn from farming activities
2. He hire one worker every year. He might have the evidence as well
3. Yes. My brother and grandmother are dependent on them.
4. House is owned by my father
5. The maximum they can show for both without borrowing is around $20000.
6. Do not know
7. He can show that the other family members are dependent on him as he is elder and the occupation he do.
Also my mother is a head of the village and she has the identity card of that.

Your dad must include evidence for:
Farm land ownership + valuation of the farm land + income earned from farming/exemption from taxes (as applicable) + salary paid to the worker + any loans taken to buy farm equipment or vehicles (as a reason to return) + 6 months bank statements + 2 years tax returns + fixed deposits + interest certificate for the fixed deposits + letter from the bank that the FDs have not been mortgaged/no loan taken against them + property ownership documents + valuation (self or by a CA)

He must also prove that he must return for some farming-related activities + an explanation about who will temporarily manage his farming business when he is away or why he can take time off for 2-3 weeks + evidence that your grandmom and brother live at the same address + your grandmom and brother are dependent on your parents

Your mom must include evidence for:
She is the head of the village and 1-2 works/job responsibilities done by her + any activities scheduled after her Canada visit + her bank statement for 6 months + a Letter of Financial Support from your dad + copies of his bank statement and tax returns

Both your parents must submit a detailed day-by-day itinerary of their visit plans for sightseeing, to see how you live and work, etc.... with expense estimates.... and prove they can pay for this itinerary + airfare without depending on you

Hello house,

I was once refused a visit visa to UK . I however appealed and my visa was approved.

My issue is how do i respond to the statutory question on visa refusal should i put Yes or NO?
