Dear all,

I had applied for express entry earlier this year. And recently received a message asking for proof of funds and a declaration of the source of funds and debts and loan amounts. Which i did upload a second time, even though i had uploaded the proof of funds when i had applied. After i uploaded this document, in a couple of days i received a "ready for visa" email from CIC. So i have a couple of questions:

1. Does this mean that our application is approved.

2. Currently my wife is visiting india for a couple of months and will be back in the US in December. They gave a deadline of 30 days. Is it possible for her to submit in india while i mail it to the address in CANADA. Has anyone had a similar issue and how they might have solved it....?

Please let me know at the earliest.

Yes, Congratulations.

You can email CIC about your wife's location and they will provide with the nearest VFS.

Please let me know at the earliest.

Congratulations. Your application is approved.
I was in the USA when we got our approval, but was in transition to India on a project. As the 30 days limit was there, I requested my attorney to change the submission office to VFS India and when we went to India we submitted the documents. But we did this for both of us. Not sure about your case, as both of you are under one application. Can you check in your account if you can select submission office individually?

Thanks for your prompt replies.
I have submitted the question using their web form or is there an email address that I need to use.

Also, the application status hasn’t changed. Is that normal ? It is still showing in process.

How long does it take for the passports to be returned.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Yes, the status will change once your visa is stamped.

It differs for every VO. I think maximum 2 weeks you can expect your passport

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Thanks Vaishnavi. I appreciate it.

I wrote an message on their web form last week, but haven’t heard back yet on advice. Guess I have to be patient, wonder how long do they typically take to respond..?

Hi coolrames,
Thanks. I am not sure I understand how I can update or check the submission office. I looked in the my account and profile. I don’t remember entering a submission office. Can you please guide me.
Also i submitted the question to ircc to see if they had any recommendations or advice for our situation last week and haven’t heard back since. Is it possible to call them, it has not been 10 business days yet though. I am just a little anxious about it.

Hi All, I just received a generic response as follows - not sure what to make of it. I was hoping for a more clear answer to my question. Any ideas...?

Yes it is possible. Send a mail to cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca requesting submission of your wife's passport in India. You will get another PPR mail with India as submission.

Thanks Hope 2018, I have sent the mail and I received an auto reply stating that they will respond in 10 business days. I am just worried that I might be cutting it short in terms of time. I received the mail on Oct 2nd. Is there a way to contact them over the phone. I tried calling +1-613-944-4000 but couldn't get through to any agent.

The new mail would have new dates, 30 days would start from the receipt of that mail. That's the only medium to get it changed.

No, mail always states primary applicant's name. You can original mail(one which you already have got) for yourself and following mail for wife.
Hi Hope2018,

thanks for the advice. I recieved a new ready for visa Email with instructions to submit in India. However, the new letter has my name and UCI on it, and not my wife’s. Would that pose a problem.

Also they didn’t mention anything about what I would have to do for my passport. Should I just send it to Ottawa based on the original RFV email I recieved for myself. Please let me know at the earliest.

Regards

I had mentioned it earlier itself, it would be addressed to you. Original mail you need to use for yourself and new one for wife. Also include the mail copy which you sent for change of visa office so that VO is aware of it.
