Hi there,

You should definitely go for it! I strongly believe you have all the requirements for the Diploma program. It's a good choice. You will get your diploma in 2 years and then you can apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) and start working.

Good luck.

Hi..

Thnx for replying. The major problem is that I have heard that if you are applying for a diploma after masters, there are 75% chances of visa rejection.
because visa providers think that the person is non serious and is going abroad for reasons other than study (i.e immigration)

The problem for PhD is that I have to find supervisor. I have mailed few supervisors in 4-5 universities,..but they dint even care to reply me
back :(
ANY SOLUTIONS????

Hi there,

I absolutely disagree with this weird theory you've heard. If you have the acceptance letter and the required financial statements, you will get a study permit and Visa.

PhD is a tough task to be done and you have to follow-up with the professors or even call them if you can to get a response.

Good luck!

Hi DevPratap,

I suggest you should go for a diploma or a post-grad certificate. There are many programs available at Sheridan College, Humber College and Seneca College to name a few.

Good luck!

very wrong advice selection of course and level of course is the most important thing. 90% of the people u will see on this forum who have got rejection is because of course mismatch or not selecting appropriate course level. when selecting a course u should ask urself a question "will u select the same course in ur home country ?" so lets say ur masters will u go for diploma after masters in ur home country? Suggesting diploma is what consultants do which creates problem for candidates ...yes there is a slight chance that u can get a visa for diploma after masters if ur lucky but question is do u want to take that chance with ur future?

Thank you... this is exactly what I am thinking....But in Canada there are very few options of study courses after masters...For PhD not even a single supervisor cares to reply back...That means no other option..MS is also not available in Canada i think...So, should I quit applying for Canada? :-[

u already have a masters degree so u should ideally go for Phd however u can take ur chances with another masters degree if u can justify how the second masters degree is necessary for ur career in ur home country . Like what is so special about this new masters degree and how u cannot get the same education in ur home country. Also what r the job prospects in ur home country after completing ur degree.....ur current masters is in a good field and should help ur case. I strongly recommend not to apply for diploma or PG diploma .....this is just my opinion.

There are many 2 year courses available at the Sheridan College, Humber College and Seneca College websites. Every information you require is there. I suggest your should work on all these websites and select courses in which you seem interested.

Dear friends,
Please guide me .
I did M Phil in Public Health .I want to register as Environmental Public Health Inspector in Canada.
Certification body ( CI PHI Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors ) advised me to get my degree recognized by any of the following universities prior to certification with CIPHI.
• Ryerson University, Toronto, ON
• British Columbia Institute of Technology, Burnaby, BC
• Concordia University College of Alberta, Edmonton, AB
• Cape Breton University, Sydney, NS
• First Nations University of Canada, Regina, SK
And i can only be certified when i have my degree recognized by any of the above universities.
so I contacted Cape Breton University to get my degree recognized and in response they advised me to apply for transfer credits assessment. They also advised me to apply for admission in Bachelor in Public health.
only after the assessment of credits they can tell me the exacts credits which i shall have to take with Cape Breton University.
Now i got acceptance letter from university but my assessment of credits is under process.I contacted university about my tuition fee but they replied that fee can only be paid ,when assessment of credits will be completed.
my classes will be started in January 2014.
Please guide me,
Should i apply for study permit or wait for the result of assessment of credits? Can i apply study permit /visa without paying tuition fee?In my country the visa processing time is too long..
