Hello,

I'd appreciate input on whether getting a supervisa instead of regular visa for my Mom is worthwhile.

This is the context:
  • I can fulfill all requirements for the supervisa (e.g. above income threshold, provide financial support, get her medical insurance)
  • My Mom has have a multiple entries Canadian temporary residency visa (now expired) on which she came to visit me twice
  • We are planning a trip for her coming back to Canada for a visit which will be about 5 weeks

As you see, a regular TRV would suffice for this upcoming trip. However, I'm considering aiming for the supervisa so she's set for potential future trips of longer stay. Going through the medical examination and paperwork is not an issue. Although I'm not sure if there is any negative implications regarding applying for the supervisa at this point. Or if there is actually more beneficial to get it.

Thanks.

Do as you see fit. This is completely a matter of what fits yours plans best.

Hi

Please let me know the steps and application package for Super Visa. When I go through the online eligibility for my mother in law the online application package is coming with IMM5257 which is not opening up even after getting latest Acrobat reader from the CIC webpage as directed.

I want to bring my mother in law here and myself and my spouse became PR recently. I have the income eligibility and do have NOC for past 4 years..

Please let me know details and this will really help me in doing the filing.
