Hi all.
I had applied for the immigration visa on 24Mar2009. After that I submitted supporting documents and then after some time I was asked to submit my rights of landing fee and medical test results - which I did on 28Oct2009.
Now all of a sudden I got a call from my HR manager at work today and went up to the meeting room to find two officers from the Canadian High Commission there. They talked to me regarding my employment history and job responsibilites for a while - and then went away.
Now is this common for the Visa Office to verify employment status like that? Why would they do such a verification and what can be the possible outcomes in such cases? (Since I have already been asked to submit my medical tests people keep telling me that it is only a matter of time before I get the visa. However, just can't be too sure).
