I got a letter which stated that my spouse's application for residency under spousal class is being processed normally.

They also said that it will be processed in no longer then 10 months.

They only requested 4 new photos of the principal applicant, does this mean that they did not approve the original 4 photos which we sent?
They gave us a deadline to send them by October. Can this delay the process further? or if I send it by next week then it would be fine?

Please some one answer my questions. Thank you

No, there is nothing necessarily wrong with the photos you sent. They like photos to have been taken no more than 6 months ago, so they probably just want newer ones for whatever stage of processing they are at.

Send them ASAP, you don't have to wait until the deadline to comply.
