Hi Senior Members,
my name is charanjit singh
i have done BBA in hotel and Tourism management and three years of experience in the same feild
IELTS 7.0

i have applied for PG in hotel and tourism management from Selkirk College BC Canada
i have seen so many refusal of student visa
so bit worried

i am married and have a daughter i will be leaving them in INdia will it be sufficent to prove that i will come back to India
i can show property of my father and land owned by him as he is sponsering me
i am planning to take loan from the bank as well

can i show some funs in kind of Gold or will have to make a statement from CA

Hi SING_KING i dont want to do GIC...i guess it will be considered under general only

well, if you are applying under SPP then GIC in mandatory. If you are applying under general then GIC is optional, if you don't want to go for GIC, then you should show your bank balance equivalent to first year fee + first year living expenses ($10,000). No Loan req. Additionally, you should also attach your CA report of property and house hold goods. This will put good impression on VO that you have huge property behind in your home country and you will come back and even you can easily pay your fee for next semesters. One thing more that. never mention about your PR plannings anywhere in your file. good luck

Hello Mr. Singh, If you are planning to loan against gold and show that loan, It's not gonna work. Even if you have 10kgs of gold, not gonna work.

So there are couple of ways the funding part is taken care of;

1. GIC (where you purchase GIC by paying 10100 CAD which is paid to you as 2k after second month)

2. Education loan

3. Liquid cash in account. This cash shouldn't populate all of sudden. Should have a pattern and should match with the income source you will be showing.

Best option is, if you have gold and you wish to take loan against it, take a loan, pay tuition fee and purchase GIC. They don't ask you for the source of funds in case of GIC. However, if you are applying without GIC, you will have to show source of income such as sale of land or sale of gold. But loan against gold won't do ( I hope you are not thinking this way that you will just pay one semester fee and rest you will show the funds, get the visa, once you land here, you will manage for living and tuition fee on your own coz if that's what you are thinking, that will be so novice of you).
