Visa for dependent Mom

I arrived in Canada from India on 10th Mar 2013 and have been issued a one year work permit.
I need my dependent Mom, who lives in India to be with me here at Canada.
Can you pls kindly let me know what options are available with me to get her to Canada.
What type of visa may be required.
I need her here for atleast a couple of months.

She will have to apply for a regular visitor visa.

CIC will not see her as your dependent. For immigration purposes, you dependents are your spouse and/or children only.
