Visa Extension Required?

So i did my course here for 2 years now. i will be applying for PGWP soon, I'm thinking of travelling back to my home country while my PGWP is pending. my visa expires in in 2 months, i might be there in my country for a month maybe 2. so my question is should i extend my visa before i go or should i wait till my visa expires and apply for a new one and go to my home country when i receive the new visa?

You cannot extend a visa. You need to apply for a new TRV and you should apply if your study permit is still valid while in Canada. Look at processing times for your country because it can be months not including passport stamping.

Yes should be fine. Returning before your TRV expires is a much better option so you can maximize the amount of time you can work under PGWP.
