Visa extension refused + canadian child

Hi! I have applied for WP and my visa extension has been refused. I have a Canadian baby boy. So I am leaving with him next week. All the travel agencies are telling me that I need to book a return ticket for my child since he is canadian. The dad works out of province and has signed the travel document. So do I really need to book a return tickeny for my child? He is an infant. Will I be in trouble when I leave from here with him?

You don't need a return ticket to leave Canada.

You may need one for your child to enter your destination country. This depends on where you're going and your child's citizenship status in that country.

Ok so I mentioned that the return ticket is only for the child since he is canadian.
I am going back to my country whereas my child is canadian
