Hello

I am trying to apply an extension online and I am not sure with the answer to this question:

Q. Do you have a family member who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and is 18 years or older? Yes or No.

by CIC, it is defined as spouse or common-law partner, etc.

I have been living with my partner for only about 4 months now, back to question, is the answer Yes or No?

We are not married, so we're not spouses.

common-law partner?

Since CIC only accepts those living together as common law after 12 months I would say your boyfriend/girlfriend is not a family member.
