visa extension over processing time

Hello everyone,
i was starting to feel a bit to worried about my current situation so i thought that would be nice to get some advice from this awesome web page.
I applied for an extension tourist visa on 21st of Nov, my 6 months visa will expire tomorrow, and i haven't got anything. In the last few days i've been checking cic web page daily but when i go and see the processing time, it comes out that they are working on application submitted on the 27th of Nov. Now my question is: what happened to my application if they're already working on application submitted on the 27th?
Does it take a couple of days to get an answer or it means my app was refused?
am i allowed to stay in canada untill i hear something from them or i have to leave tomorrow since my visa expires?

If you sent your application to CPC-V before the expiry of your status then you are under "implied status" until you receive a response from Vegreville. You will receive either a Visitor Record or a letter of refusal depending on the action taken on your application.

You can call the call centre and they can tell you if they've issued you the visitor record. That's what we did and they told us the date it had been issued too. Then we waited to get in the mail and it didnt come so we had to call back and finally they issued it.
