My wife arrived in January, and we submitted her spousal PR app.

I need to apply to extend her visa - is there a specific type of visa I need to apply for?

My husband is from the US and we submitted an extension of stay visa. The process time is a little long but you just have to wait. Go to this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp
