VISA EXTENSION and PGWP

Hi,

I am a currently enrolled as Electrical Engineering Technician which is one of the eligible for PGWP under TRADE. Unfortunately, I need to take some subjects again which cause it to my visa extension.

Now I am teffified about the news that IRCC changed. Would I still be able to get a PGWP if I extend my visa? Am I still eligible?

If you were only part time your last semester then you are eligible.

So when does your study permit expire And when do you complete studies?

my visa is suppose to expire on July 2025 and my studies should end this April 2025. But since I need to take some major subject, I need to be extend until next year, 2026.

To extend you need to show funds for living expenses and tuition. Make sure you are always full time unless last semester.

You need to explain why you need to extend permit.
