My dad's visitor visa is expiring on May 1, 2022. He would very much like to travel to Canada to visit my newborn nephew and niece. He applied for a new visitor visa couple of days ago and received biometrics letter as well. But I'm also wondering if he could book his tickets and then extend his visa after he comes here. If his planned date of arrival is April 1, 2022 - with his visa expiring in a month after his arrival, will this cause any issue by border security?
Please let me know what's the best way to proceed in this case. Safe to book tickets or wait for a new visa?
