I got my visa approved for UBC today..
I understand the anxieties, and fears during the visa process..

I successfully completed my high school with an aggregate of **. Following this, I had opted for Bachelors Degree in *** at the prestigious ** University where I secured **, standing among the top three out of forty talented students in my course group. Further, to enhance my administrative skills, I pursued ****, where I secured ***. The charm of extending the frontiers of knowledge in rapidly growing field of ** had induced in me an interest to pursue for higher studies. To satiate this curiosity and to embark upon a rewarding career in this field, I further pursued my Post Graduate study in *** at the *** where I was awarded with merit scholarship since I bagged the second position, with a **, in a group of thirty five brilliant and diverse students. I was kindled with an ambition of higher education that would give a desired push to my career. With a strong will to pursue my further studies in Canada, I prepared for the IELTS examination and scored** bands.
My zeal and commitment to study the ****particularly in the area of *** is based on the extensive experiences that I have gained in human services in the past 2 years. As a ** at ***, I have worked extensively with children from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. Currently I am working at *** as a *** in addition to the Volunteer work of ***on the deprived children and families of the society at a ***. Working with them has given me an insight into the hardships and obstacles of their lives. I am extremely motivated to help them realize their strengths.
I decided to apply to the University of British Columbia as I am enticed to the University because of its strong emphasis on ***. Particularly, the *** as well as *** are the ones that mesh well with what I am looking for in a program. Successful completion of this program will help me acquire the required skills and knowledge to further my work in the area of Children Mental Health and Disability in my native country, India.
Education is the highest manifestation of mankind. Moving out of a certain socio-cultural context or to say studying in a different cultural context adds to one’s optimal intellectual growth. Canada is a developed nation and to pursue higher education there will be a life time opportunity as well as a life changing experience for me. It will offer unique options to prove my abilities, expand my potentials and deepen my insight with this transition into a new locale. Being a prospective and ever seeking learner, I believe in taking all new challenges in my stride. I keenly look forward to the best of prospects laid in my way to learn and grow.
My diverse work experiences have given me a better understanding of what opportunities are available to me. After completing graduate education in ***, I aim to become a ** in my country. My motivation for this field is due to my strong inclination towards improving the quality of life and enhancing the social functioning of vulnerable populations such as minorities and deprived children and families. Along with counseling and offering supportive services, I would also like to implement various enabling workshops, which will provide disadvantaged individuals to have a voice and develop positive self-esteem and self-responsibilities.
