As per official CIC rules:

As a post-secondary student
You may change your school, program and/or field of study without applying for a new study permit. You do not need to apply for a change to the condition of your study permit, either. You may continue to use your study permit as long as it is valid.
If you are changing your level of study (e.g., bachelor's to master's), you do not need to apply for a change to the condition of your study permit, either.

Changing of college/ course is totally legal for international students... and in no way will affect your work permits or PR.

You usually have to show the new admission offer letter, withdraw your enrollment and join the new course.

Study permit extension is not a problem.
he will need
1. Letter of acceptance from college
2. last 2 semesters transcript with good academic standing

oh k.
In my case,i jst got my visa for a 1 yr PG certificate pgm at Humber colg & I plan to continue studying aftr tht.
So will it be difficult to extend my permit aftr tht?
Do I have to satisfy the VO again with funds & relevancy of further study?
& if I'm denied a permit,can I still apply for my PGWP (8mnths-1 yr)?
I'd really appreciate ur opinion.
