Visa Application

Here is the situation.
I applied for Canada Visitor Visa and received approval that passport has been sent to Canada Visa Office, on June 19th 2018 by VFS Global after receiving approval letter on June 19th 2018.
The status on the VFS site says the following:
Visa application, tracking ID xxxxx is being processed at the Canada Visa Office.To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website.

It is now more than 5 months, the status is still the same.

I already contacted VFS and Canada consulate through email and also through the written complaint, but all my efforts in vain.

Do try linking your paper application to your GCKey account. You should see if background checks are being done

Don''t bother checking for updates on the VFS site because it is not linked to the IRCC processing system

I submitted my application at the VFS. Is it suppose to take this long before I can get my passport back
