Hi I am a Canadian citizen and I applied for my parents and little sisters visitor visa to Canada as they were going to tend to me during the last days of my pregnancy. I submitted all the documents and the bank account my parents showed had $ 20,000 in it. I did not sponsor them as I thought they had enough income on their own. The reason given for their rejection was "You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your / your host's income and assets"
My mother has already been to Canada and last time their visa was rejected when they all applied together but was accepted when only my mother applied. Should I apply again this time sponsoring them as I am not sure what might have went wrong with the application as the bank account and the earnings and assets of my parents are good enough but still this is the only reason that was given to be rejected.
Is it of any use reapplying?

Just to clarify, if your parents and sister are applying for a TRV, you can’t offer sponsorship. All you can provide is a letter of invitation, as there is no legal requirement for you to support them once they arrive in Canada. Your family needs to qualify on their own ability to meet the requirements for a TRV. This includes financial and ties to their home country, along with other criteria. That said, given the background information you provided, I suspect that there is additional factors to the refusal not listed, primarily tie to their home country with all three of them applying. Given that they have had refusals before as a family group (yet your mother has successfully applied on her own), I suspect that IRCC feels they may overstay as the ties to Canada (you and their grandchildren) are greater than their home country. You could confirm this by ordering the GCMS notes which will detail the VO reasoning. I also suspect if your mother applied again in her own, she would likely be successfully in reapplying.

Hello Everyone
I am new to this forum. I recently applied for my parent's supervisa and yesterday I got the final decision that their application has been rejected reason being: "You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your / your host's income and assets". My parent's showed total of $12k in their bank and I submitted my T4 and offer letter with my income. I am not sure of they are referring to my income or assets or my parent's. We have an house hold income of approximately $140K but in application I submitted only mine T4 and Offer Letter(no bank statement, no investments or 401K details) not my husband's as he is new to Canada and didn't get any NOA or T4s. Please help, when I should reapply and with what documents for income and assets.

Thanks in advance!
