I applied for the work permit for myself and temp resident visa for my 9 years old daughter who will accompany me in Canada. My application is still being processed, however application for my daughter's visa has been refused because of the following reason: "Her primary purpose for entering Canada will be to study as she is now of school age. She must submit an application for study permit to accompany you to Canada and not a visitor visa application."
Has anyone had similar case? Do I really need a new application? Or I can request re-processing the application but send required documents to CIC? There is nothing really new in terms of documents that is needed, only birth certificate. A letter of acceptance is not required for minors. Obviously I realize I have to pay fees for the study permit. I am worried that the new application may delay our travel.
Thank you.
