I hope you're all doing well.

I had a small query and I'll be highly grateful if anyone could please help me with that. I applied for my international student visa from Pakistan back in February 2020. My semester was scheduled to start from Fall 2020. However due to the covid situation I deferred my admission to Fall 2021 intake and updated the embassy in July 2020 regarding my deferral so that my visa could be bridged for next year. I have now received my visa which starts from now and is valid till end of November, 2021.
The issue now is, that I'll be traveling to canada to join the program in August 2021, and my visa will be expiring in the next 3 months.
How should I tackle this situation?
I will receive my study permit on the day I land there but will it be valid for a year. Also if it's valid and the visa is expiring, what would be the course of action then?

Looking forward to the help and guidance in this regard.
Thanks in advance!

Isn't the visa just a deadline for you to enter Canada before it expires? I think its the study permit that has to stay valid as long as you stay in Canada. I have this doubt too. Lets just wait for someone to respond who knows about this.

That's what I was confused about too, I deferred to fall 2021 and my POE states need to enter Canada by sept 2023!!
