Hi All,

I have my virtual oath ceremony on 16 June along with my wife. I have 1 yr old at home and will have take care of him during ceremony. It would be helpful for me to plan things if I could know what happens during ceremony. My questions are:
1. Should I be required to sit infront of laptop when ircc officer is not talking to me directly?
2 During waiting period, did we have to disconnect from Zoom and connect back later or do they just put you on hold and let you in again while you remain in Zoom

regards

1. No, but just be sure you’re wearing wireless headphones or something so that you know when the clerk or officer is calling for your attention. (Or perhaps one of you or your wife can call for the other’s attention.)

2. No, they will do the transferring of rooms for you, except in mine, they just asked us to mute our mics at the beginning of the ceremony, only to unmute them for the oath.

You are welcome to have your child on the screen if they’re in the mood to attend, even have a family photo with the judge after the ceremony. :)
