US$7,000 is the maximum for anyone leaving Vietnam without showing supporting documents.
What about Canadian PR leaving Vietnam?

Hi,

The banks will ask for the documents for immigration and the documents to show the legal money for transferring.

Hi Danny2009,

I am referring to actually bringing cash with me when I am boarding the plane for Canada to show the Canadian immigration for my POF.

How much cash does the Vietnamese customs allow a new Canadian PR of Vietnamese origin to bring along with him?

Hi Tran !
My name is Hanh , Vietnamese. It is nice to share something relating to immigration to Canada from Vietnam . From what I heared , you are allowed to bring $ 8.000 by the Vietnamese customs.
I am going to immigrate to Canada as an investor ( Toronto ) .How about you ?
Have a nice day !

Hi Hanh,

I'm a Singaporean living in HCMC. My wife is Vietnamese.
A family of four needs to show at least C$21,000 as POF
to the Canadian immigration.

We applied under FSW and we intend to land in Calgary, Alberta.

Hi Tran !
A family of four can bring C$36.000 . your wife is Vietnamese , so it is much easier for you . Since getting a PR visa to come to Canada she might ask some banks ( Import - Export bank ; ACB bank ; Sacom bank ) here to transfer some money for her if she can prove that where the money comes from ! .
Moreover, when she is in Canada , each person in her family ( her parents, sisters, brothers )can send her C$ 7.000 per year via a bank , but they need to show their birth certificate to prove that they are sisters or brothers ...
Hanh.
