Hello everyone, I am new here. Would like to ask you a question and your help ;(

I feel sick of how long this procedure to bring your spouse take, and I e-mailed Vienna to ask how long will this procedure still take. They replied this:

'Your spouse will be invited to attend an immigration interview. We expect to schedule his interview for October or November. Please rest assured he will contacted directly as soon as we have more information.'

I am canadian citizen who started the procedure in february, was approved as a sponsor in May, online it still shows Application received.

Why interview now?
I am so frustrated and asking my self, how can someone keep a family a part for so long.

I am on the verge of a nervous break-down.

This is the prcedure for an application at times, and they have some doubts regardining your relatioship.

You could consider you lucky having the interview in October or November.

I had my interview after 11 months after I applied, and I am sti not done.

No worries, at wife's/husband's interview you will have 90% sure that the decision will be made the same day.

All the best!!

It would be advisable for you to order GCMS notes on behalf of your spouse. That will include the comments the visa officer entered into the computer explaining what doubts there are about the relationship.

See here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/index.asp

They have to be ordered by someone inside Canada. If you are not inside Canada then you can have someone you know inside Canada order them (with your spouse's written permission) or you can engage with a third party service (I have used http://www.caips.ca successfully in the past and gain no benefit from saying so, other than supporting a useful service provider.)

Good luck!
