VFS Karachi didn't take passport for paper application

Hey guys,

So my parents applied for TRV today on paper. They told me that VFS didn't take their passports yet and told them that the procedure has changed and they will need to submit passports later just like online application.

Has anyone faced similar situation recently?

It seems that there is a change in the procedure for Pakistan. Passport are not being collected even for paper based application but PPR is made only if the application is approved. This was confirmed by forum member from Pakistan whose passport too was not collected.
