Hi,

How much time I have stay in Canada when I come first time on skilled worker visa (Immigrant).
Can I just enter first time and leave Canada within 15 days or I have to stay until I get PR card.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Umbarsaria.

This topic has been discussed on the forum a lot of time. In my opinion, you must stay there till you receive your PR Card which usually takes up to 90 days.

Some people have discussed that you may leave canada before getting your PR Card, if you could arrange that the card will be delivered to your friend or relative in canada who can manage to send the same to you via Post or some other source. This may be somewhat risky.

Please go through the forum and have more information on your issue.

Regards ,

You need to stay at least a couple of hours, as it will take that long to check in for your return flight and get back through airport security again. If you don't mind leaving without a PR card, there is no limit. You can always apply for a Travel Document to come back to Canada.

That means if we leave before getting the PR card, we need to apply for visa to come back. We cannot land on COPR or older visa correct?

NO. You will not need a visa to come back but you will definitely need something called a Travel Document. Please Google about it to know more.

Thtat Travel document is required to apply at home country embassy or at airport?
If it applied to emabssy how long does it take to approve?
